Exceptional wear resistant overlay for steel and ductile iron wear parts
Spherical Fused Tungsten Carbide in Nickel Chrome Matrix Effective hardness: 3500-4000 Hv (90+ Rc).
Both products are readily available in cord diameters ranging from 3mm to 8 mm and with various selected mesh sizes of carbides to address specific abrasion problems.
These Tungsten Carbide based products are currently the upper most abrasion resistant products on the market.
When applied by the oxy-acetylenic torch process, and following the recommended application procedure, the overlay (hardfacing) provides the optimum concentration and distribution of carbides for outstanding abrasion resistance.
- The nickel chrome matrix is impervious to corrosion (no iron).
- The overlay (hardfacing) doesn’t crack when cooling, thus preventing corrosion of the base steel.
- The recommended application process doesn’t generate any harmful smoke or fumes (as proven by on site testing during application).
- The continuous cord form eliminates wastage such as with stick products and speeds up the application process.
- The overlay (hardfacing) can be easily rebuilt without having to remove the previous layers.
